Warrior Outreach Community, please enjoy a small sampling of the memories you all helped create in the 2017 Warrior Outreach Horsemanship Event. The morning rains didn’t hamper spirits or enthusiasm as the afternoon gave way to a beautiful sunny day. I am humbled by how extraordinary the event was…not because of any one part but by some of the conversations: –“My husband had such a great time. He hasn’t relaxed this much since he returned.” –“My family had a great time. We just never get an opportunity on our budget to relax and be a family.” –“My kids love it here. I’m going to be in trouble when we must go home.” It was wonderful seeing so many families with smiling faces and happy children. I can’t begin to thank all the volunteers, some 40 strong who came out to ensure that everyone had a wonderful day. From the bounce house to the face painting station to the Home Depot workshop to the books donated by the Blue Star Families to the donuts donated by Golden to children’s and adults riding arena to rides along the trail to the music of Kissin 99.3 to Dennis for his soul-stirring playlist to the culinary team at the Outreach Center who made sure no one was hungry or thirsty. Valley Hospitality’s annual gift of support continues to provide meals for our guests. We are humbled by the constant support of our volunteer force who continually step up to fulfill the mission of Warrior Outreach-Veterans Helping Veterans. Imagine an event hosted over 20 acres with hundreds of people coming in and out in a flow event that ends at 3:30; the horses are loving how secure the entire property is. Without the support of Alexander Contracting Company and the Antioch Volunteer, we would not have had the second arena in place for the day. Buffalo Rock Pepsi’s die-hard support ensures everyone stayed hydrated throughout all our events. The day would not have been complete without the Clowning Around bounce house. Rivertown Ford, Lloyd Steves is never far behind with support for Warrior Outreach. It was Rivertown Ford’s vehicle that allowed us to shuttle attendees from the parking area to the festivities. Stop in and thank Lloyd for his support of Warrior Outreach. Finally, the Keller Williams Realty River Cities and team member volunteers on May 11, 2017, and some on May 12, 2017, were amazing and instrumental in preparing the ranch for our largest annual event. We look forward to seeing more of them as they continue to work on the new Warrior Outreach Center deck. Joining Keller Williams River Cities in their support of Warrior Outreach were their Keller Williams REDDAY 2017 sponsors Guaranty Mortgage Services, LLC, Edge & Kimbell Law, LLC, Arrow Exterminators, Morris, Manning and Martin, LLP, and Country Financial.
